Nitzavim - renewedhealthandvitality.com
Deuteronomy 30:11-12 TS2009
11. “For this command which I am commanding you today, it is not too hard for you, nor is it far off.
12. “It is not in the heavens, to say, ‘Who shall ascend into the heavens for us, and bring it to us, and cause us to hear it, so that we do it?’

We’re in the book of Deuteronomy (Greek: Δευτερονόμιον Deuteronómion, lit. ’second law’) is the fifth and last book of the Torah (in Judaism), where it is called Devarim (Hebrew: דְּבָרִים Dəḇārīm, lit. '[the] words [of Moses]’) and the fifth book of the Christian Old Testament.

We are reading in Nitzavim, Nitsavim, Nitzabim, Netzavim, Nisavim, or Nesabim (נִצָּבִים‎ — Hebrew for “ones standing,” the second word, and the first distinctive word, in the parashah)

What is this Torah portion about?

In the parashah, Nitzavim, Moshe (Moses)  told the Israelites that all the people stood before Elohim to enter into the covenant, violation of which would bring on curses.

If they returned to Yehovah and heeded Yehovah’s commandments/Mitzvah, then God would take them back in love and bring them together again from the ends of the world.

Moses taught that this Instruction was not beyond their reach, and he put before them life and death, blessing and curse, and exhorted them to choose life by loving God and heeding the commandments. (<<— edited from wikipedia)
